14 to Fate

Imagine a world with no white people. Imagine a world with no black people.

After a thousand years of separate worlds, a virus breaks out in each world and there is only one solution. But it is illegal for them to come together.  Two women have 14 minutes to decide on their solution. Hythica, a white woman wife of her world’s prime minister is nervous if she has made the right decision by coming to this meeting, but curiosity has her.  Gilda, a woman of color, wife of her world’s ruler is nervous she is going to get got.

But Danni and Raddi their assistants wonder if they can keep everything on track and save their worlds.

Today’s domestic violence has a start in the slave trade which created a violent society. This short animation connects the two issues through a series of drawings and dialogue.

Family Tree

Family Tree is the story of a family who doesn’t like each other but finds out that through thick and thin, they love each other. The family matriarch, Flora Hackney Jones, is challenged by her granddaughter, Kate to have a family reunion. Flora knew her children couldn’t speak two kind words to each other, less lone share a meal or party together. But Kate and her cousins manage to get almost everyone together plus some folks no one expects.

Director Karen Anderson tells the story of a family that uses the laughter that surrounds their lives to help them deal with the pain.  This short film will have you laughing, cheering and crying for the Jones, as they make you think of your dysfunctional family.
